Cornish Creams Ingredients (or not)
This is perhaps not one of the most exciting pages on the CornishCreams website, but here we try and give you more information on some of the ingredients which we use to make Cornish Creams.
Vegetable Oils Essential Oils Active Ingredients Allergens NOT
Firstly, let me say that we are very conscious of obtaining the best quality ingredients we can, and making sure that there is consistency of supply wherever possible. At every step of the way I try to be as thoughtful as possible regarding the quality of the products used to make your Cornish Creams.
Allergens
It is important that you make yourself aware of any possible allergens which may be present in any product you buy, whether it is something to eat, or something you put onto your skin.
Cornish Creams do NOT contain parabens- these are preservatives often found in cosmetics, and some people may be allergic to them. There has been increasing public interest, and scientific research into the effects of parabens, one study saying that parabens may mutate upon exposure to sunlight, causing premature aging of the skin, just the opposite of their planned effect. An article in the Daily Mail 4th Dec 2009 quoted possible side-effects as "rashes, irritation and hormonal disruption" with links to breast cancer in women and lowered fertility in men.
