The Tamar Valley
The river Tamar forms the border between Cornwall and Devon and the Tamar Valley itself is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB)
Cornish Creams is proud to be a member of TAVATA
- The Tamar Valley Tourism Association - which is a body of businesses based in the Valley.
These range from Bed and Breakfast providers, through Tourist Attractions and Places of Interest
to small Artists and Crafters such as
Christine and Cornish Creams
One of the aims of TAVATA is to promote the Tamar Valley as an independent destination. With its proximity to so many attractions in the Southwest, this is a lovely place in which to live, whether permanently, or for a short while.

The Tamar Valley also forms an important part of the
Cornish Mining World Heritage Site
In 2006 selected mining landscapes across Cornwall and west Devon were inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Over 20.000 hectares make it the largest World Heritage Site in the UK.
The mining story is set against one of the most spectacular backdrops imaginable – a strikingly beautiful coastline, rugged moors, idyllic countryside, lush river valleys, and bustling towns and harbours.
